Percussionist Eduardo Lazaga Salgado started with La Charanga Habanera in 1991 and played timbales on the first four albums.

English: Eduardo 'Sos' Lazaga, son of the famous percussionist Enrique Lazaga, was born in Havana on January 2, 1964. Enlisted as a pupil in his father's class at the Amadeo Roldán School of Music, at a very early age, he graduated as violinist. Later Eduardo felt a strong inclination towards percussion, continuing this way the familiar tradition, turning into one of the most quoted percussionists in the Cuban musical panorama.

His professional life passes by bands as 'La Sonora Caribeña', 'La Ritmo Oriental' and then it is when along with David Calzado they formed 'La Charanga Habanera', from where he is projected internationally during long years, until finally the musicians of La Charanaga Habanera decided to leave David Calzado and establish the popular band 'Charanga Forever', where Eduardo continued his career of successes.

But the bustle of his continuous tours and other reasons he decided to settle in France giving classes of Cuban music, and recording with the best bands there. From a few he had the idea of recording this production, so he proposed it to the producer Luis A. Dominguez during a few studio sessions, then an audition ws organized in the mythical roof 23-12 (Eduardo’s ancient residence) place where his rehearsals in the beginning of La Charanga Habanera were settled, and their big successes grew up.
